You are invited to submit original and unpublished research works on above and other topics related to parallel and/or grid-based optimization. Please submit a PDF copy of your full manuscript, not to exceed 7 double-column IEEE formatted pages, and include up to 6 keywords and an abstract of no more than 350 words. Each paper will receive a minimum of three reviews. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper will have to register and attend the HPCS'07 conference for presenting the paper at the special session. Accepted papers will be published by SCS-Europe in the conference proceedings. Papers should be submitted as attachments to: melab@lifl.fr, talbi@lifl.fr.

Parallel and Distributed Simulation (PDSim'2007)

Purpose:
Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to):The aim of this special session is to focus on parallel and Distributed Simulation with emphasis on the understanding of parallel and distributed simulation techniques (including optimistic, conservative, real-time and interactive synchronization, synthetic environments, virtual reality, DIS and HLA, and web-based simulation) and their use in real-world situations and problems.
Algorithms and methods for parallel/distributed simulation
Models of parallel/distributed simulation
Methodology for parallel/distributed simulation
Parallel/distributed simulation languages and models
Performance of parallel/distributed simulation
Application of parallel/distributed simulation
Web based distributed simulation
Distributed Interactive Simulation
Results of both theoretical and practical significance will be considered.

High Performance Information Retrieval and Visualization: Algorithms and Applications

Topics
We seek high quality contributions in the area of high performance computing and simulation with application to information retrieval and visualization. Topics include (but are not limited to) new algorithms, applications, approaches, case studies, performance optimization and evaluation, and advanced techniques and tools for information visualization.
Paper Submission:
.Please submit an electronic copy of your full manuscript (not to exceed 15 double-spaced pages or 7 double-column IEEE formatted pages, including figures, tables, and references). Please clearly indicate the corresponding author. Include up to 6 keywords and an abstract of no more than 300 words. Papers must be submitted - in .pdf (preferred) or word.doc format via web at the website: http://ud-ece-project.no-ip.org/CoMPRaSS20/conf/HPIRV/index.php. More detailed submission procedures are available on this website. Evaluation Process:
.Consistent with standard practice, each submitted paper will receive a minimum of three reviews. Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Initial selection will be based on full papers. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper, if accepted. All accepted papers in the conference are required to be presented and will be included in the conference proceedings which will be published by ECMS.
