ABSTRACT
It seems that we, the developers of collaborative technology, do not use the technology we develop or even do not collaborate very much among ourselves. It seems that we do not understand enough how humans collaborate, and thus we tend to develop technologies that are not fully useful. We need to learn to consider not just technology but also specific user needs, the ways they go about doing their business, their culture, social impacts and other factors. On the other hand, we also need to develop understanding and skills of enticing the user community to collaborate.
This forum will chat with the audience on how to make us collaborate more, how to become more aware of users needs, the way they go about doing their work, their culture, their emotions, and desires (only work-related!).
Panelists who can both chat and listen will be selected from the CTS conference audience.
