Hello class! I just fixed the EEM homepage so you can download EES. But it is tricky! The web browser won't let us download files with an EXE extension. Thus, I renamed setup_ees.exe to setup_ees_exe.zip, even though it is an EXE file and not a ZIP. This solves the problem of downloading EES. To run the setup program, you need to rename setup_ees_exe.zip to setup_ees.exe before running it. I know this stuff is a bit hard, but stay with it. It is great review to: 1) remember you can define all properties if you know two independent properties, 2) write energy and mass balances to model a system, and 3) utilize the power of EES. Have fun. Kelly Hi Class, If you are having trouble renaming the "setup_ees_exe.zip" to "setup_ees.zip", try these tips: XP: Be sure you are actually changing the name to 'setup_ees.exe'. To be sure you actually changed the name, disable the "Hide extensions for known file types" in Windows Explorer, Options, View. Vista: At startup menu, select "Default Programs" from right sidebar, then select 'Set Program Access and Computer defaults", then uncheck the option about hiding file extensions, apply Thanks Ann! K
