Shmock-Up Presentations |
A shmock-up is a first iteration prototype.
It is a model made from readily available objects and materials that attempts
to capture the form and function of the final design. Readily available objects
and materials include paper, cardboard, paper clips, tape, glue, Styrofoam,
tacks, pencils, cups, tennis balls, CDs, balsa wood, etc. Purchases are not
required (and even discouraged) but should not be avoided if they cause extra
work to be simply remedied. You will not be reimbursed. Machining is not
required (and even discouraged). Again, do not hesitate to use a drill
should your shmock-up require it. |
