The Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program prepares graduates for professional careers in a broad range of technical and management positions. Producing automobiles and consumer goods, metals, paper, plastics and machinery are only a few of the fields available to the Manufacturing technology student.

The curriculum is highly interdisciplinary since the manufacturing professional must possess extensive technical skills and excellent humanistic skills in communications, computers, teamwork, information technology, globalism and multiculturalism. The manufacturing technical courses emphasize engineering materials and manufacturing processes; mechanical and fluid power automation; electronic controls;
computer integrated manufacturing, manufacturing planning and applied mathematics. The curriculum contains strong components from the humanities, social sciences, and communications. Technical electives allow the student
versatility in developing technical breadth or focus. The program is designed to prepare graduates for challenging careers in manufacturing and as a base for a variety of continued study.

This program is accredited by The Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
