Mrs. Jeannie BrownSecretary 1969-1993
Jeannie Brown was the backbone
of the EET department for almost 25 years. She joined the department in 1969 when it was
located in the basement of St. Josephs hall and saw the department through its move
to the Kettering Labs. She has seen the department through good and bad times and has
memories of many students that she will keep with her forever.
More than just a secretary,
Jeannie has been an integral part of the department. Among many other things too numerous
to mention, she has been the "keeper" of the student, faculty, and staff
records, the coordinator of various department activities, and an irreplaceable assistant
to the faculty of the Department. She has charmed the many visitors to the department and
her hospitality to them has been a great asset. Jeannie has always been a loyal supporter
of the Department and has been proud of its faculty, students and curriculum.
In recognition of her
dedication and service to the EET department, the Faculty decided to award her the title
"secretary emeritus". And for all the education she has picked up while
preparing lab reports, exams, course outlines, and other technical documents (rumor has it
that Jeannie can do a Bode plot on a Class AB push-pull BJT amplifier in 30 seconds
flat!), she was made an honorary Electronic Engineering Technologist.
Jeannie and her husband Ken
now spend their days in retirement at their home in Lake Cumberland, Kentucky and
frequently drop by the EET office to visit. |
