Professor Douglas Hanneman, BSEE, PE. Prof. Hanneman joined the faculty in 1956 during the early years of the Department's evolution and he had extensive experience working with Air Force (WPAFB) on Antenna Design and served (still serves) as a consultant for power and microwave RF systems. He currently teaches courses in Circuits, Devices, Communications, Microelectronics, and Electronic CAD. Prof. Hanneman enjoys sailing, cross-country skiing, cycling, handball, and collecting antique cars .

Part-time Experience

  • University of Dayton Electrical Engineering Research Project.
  • 1956 - 1958 Engineer in charge of environmental test design and implementation.
  • 1958 - 1966 Engineer in charge of a microwave antenna research and development program, an Electronic Engineering Technology Department Research project.
  • 1966 - 1972 Engineer in charge of the antenna research and development program.
  • Lectured in National Science Foundation summer institute for college, junior college and technical institute teachers in Electronic Engineering Technology, Summer 1971
  • Lectured in National Cash Register Company's Technician Training Program, Summer, 1974
  • Lectured in a continuing educational course, Microprocessors and Digital Electronics, Fall 1975
